لا تكاد تخلو، كتابات أي مفكر انشغل بقضايا الإصلاح والنهضة والتغيير في مجتمعه من فكرة التربية، سواء عبر عنها بطريقة صريحة أو ضمنية، ذلك أن التربية في جوهرها ترتبط بالإنسان، بنموه وإعداده، وتأهيله للقيام بدور التغيير، لكونه العامل الأساسي والمحدد الأول للتغيير. وفي إطار الاهتمام بفكر التغيير الذي شهده العالم الإسلامي خلال القرن الماضي، نجد أن مالك بن نبي يعد واحدا من أبرز المفكرين الذين اهتموا بقضية التغيير الاجتماعي، والذي يبدأ عنده بالإنسان. وبذلك فالتغيير عنده ينطلق من هذه الحقيقة التربوية بما أن الحديث عن الإنسان لا ينفك عن الحديث عن التربية، لذلك جاءت هذه المقالة لتتناول موضوع التربية وعلاقتها بالتغيير الاجتماعي من خلال أفكار مالك بن نبي.
