الديموقراطية عندما تكون مقابلة للحكم الديكتاتوري تبقى حلما، أما بعد تطبيقها وتجاوز الشعوب للديكتاتورية، تظهر الديموقراطية مثل كل الأفكار البشرية، تظهر القابلية للتحسين، ما بعد الديمقراطية هي الرؤية الأخرى للديمقراطية بعد تطبيقها، مشروع يتكون من مجموعة أفكار ناقدة للديموقراطية، تهدف لإبراز عيوبها لعدة أهداف منها، تحسين السلبيات، أو التجاوز كما يعتقد كارل بوبر.

عندما نناقش فكرة البحث عن مشروع أفضل من الديموقراطية، من الطبيعي أن نشعر بالاستغراب، لأن الديموقراطية منذ تأسيسها نظريا وتطبيقيا في الحضارة اليونانية هي أفضل طرق الحكم على الإطلاق، لا يختلف بوبر مع فكرة أنها الأفضل، ولكنه يضيف أمرا في غاية الأهمية، هي الأفضل لأنه لا يوجد مشروع بديل يختزل إجاباتها ويتجاوز سلبياتها، النقد بداية جديدة للعمل على بدأ مشروع ما بعد الديموقراطية.

When we discuss the idea of ​​looking for a project that is better than democracy, it is natural to wonder that democracy since its founding in theory and practice in Greek civilization is the best method of governance at all. Popper does not differ with the idea that it is the best, but adds something of importance. There is no alternative project that reduces its answers, and goes beyond the negative, criticism is a new beginning to work on the project began after democracy.
